Gordon Ritcey Luncheon

Date: Wednesday, August 29

Location: Westin Ottawa, Confederation II
Cost: $50.00*

Gordon Ritcey

This annual luncheon is the Hydrometallurgy Section’s premier social event of the year. This year, we will be celebrating hydrometallurgy through a tribute to the life work of Gordon Ritcey (pictured, left), in whose honor we have named our annual Hydrometallurgy Section symposium. The featured speaker at this luncheon will be George Demopoulos of McGill University, who started his career as visiting fellow at CANMET under Ritcey’s mentorship and with whom he has collaborated for many years. Demopoulos will speak to the many contributions made by Ritcey over his career, as well as share some of the lighter moments of the relevant past.

Purchased tickets are required for this event, and are available through the conference registration form.

*Please note that registration rates are listed in CAD and do not include 13% tax.
